Biography: |
| | Frieda Zink is an established award winning artist who has premiered her work of a variety of subjects and mediums in many shows . Her works include watercolors, oils, pastels and acrylics. Since early childhood in rural Manitoba she has depicted landscapes, still life, buildings and portraits. She mothered a family of five and led an active life in the community with Parent Teacher Associations as well as involvement in church functiions. Her painting was an outlet for expressing the surroounding beauty of nature as well as depicting people, architecture and structures like bridges and churches. She did a series of pastel ballerinas and another series of bridges in the Lower Mainland. |

| | Frieda is an active member of the Port Moody Art Association and a past member of the Art's Council. |

| | Frieda was Artist In Residence at New Westminster Secondary School for four years. She was instructor of Art at Century House in New Westminster for four years. |

| | Frieda had two shows at Place des Arts, also exhibited at the PNE Garden Show in l985, and in the Gallery in the Park in New Westminster, as well as many Library exhibits in New Westminster, Coquitlam, Sinclaire Centre in Vancouver, and in Pt Coquitlam Library. |

| | Frieda was given the Excellence In The Arts Award in l992 by the Arts Council in the Tri Cities. |

| | Frieda's paintings have been collected by various buyers in B.C. as well as other areas. |

Instruction and Workshops: |
| | Frieda Zink studied at the University of Manitoba Art School and with the Emily Carr School of Art as well as taking many workshops with prominant artists such as Pam Scott, Mike Swob, Robert Genn, Gordon Smith and others. |
