Each year, the Port Moody Art Association has two art shows. The Club?s Annual Art Show takes place in November and
the Festival Art Show, which takes
place in the Spring. Due to current economic circumstances our Spring show for 2009 has been suspended. (See next section for 2009 dates as they become available) If you would like to be informed about future events and art shows, please enter your email at the bottom of this page and you will automatically be informed via email of upcoming events.
Port Moody Art Association’s 42nd Annual Show and SaleThe Port Moody Art Association is proud to present its 42nd Annual Show and Sale of Original Paintings at the Port Moody Social Recreation Centre, 300 Ioco Road, Port Moody, B.C., Canada.
You are cordially invited to attend the opening Friday, November 13th 2009 from 7:30 to 10pm. Framed original paintings by member artists will be showcased. Artists will be in attendance. The show continues on Saturday, November 14th 2009, from 10am to 5pm, and on Sunday, November 15th 2009, from 10am to 5pm offering additional unframed paintings. Admission is free. | | Exhibits The Port Moody Art Association has continuing exhibits of members works on the East main floor hallway and the West 2nd floor hallway at the Eagle Ridge Hospital, 475 Guilford Way, Port Moody, B.C. (map).Paintings are changed approximately every six months. Exchanges will be announced at meetings and by the phoning committee. Detailed information can be obtained from our outside hanging committee chairperson.
| | History The Port Moody Art Association began in 1967 with a handful
of artists. By the club’s second year, it had over 30
members. Today, the Association has a 100-member membership and a waiting list for membership. As there is currently more than a four-year waiting list for new membership registration, we are suspending acceptance of new registration submissions until at least 2010. If you are an Artist living in the Tri-cities and are interested in further information, please contact our Association?s President heather ANDERSON.

A vote was also taken to suspend acceptance of new membership registration until at least 2010, as there is currently more than a four-year waiting list for new membership.
