PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

Meetings: We meet every Monday, September - November and January - May, except statutory holidays. The first Monday in June and December we have our end of season party meetings. Meetings are 7:00 to 9:00 pm, held at Port Moody Recreational Centre 300 Ioco Road, Port Moody - Upper Room. Zoom meetings are also scheduled as per our calendar and members are notified of the Meeting Id and Passcode by email.

Attendance: Members must attend 10 meetings to exhibit in the  Fall Show. Signing the Attendance Sheet passed around at each meeting is our record of your attendance.

Membership Renewal:
Annual dues are payable by November 30th covering the period from January 1st to December 31st and are non-refundable. After that date, unpaid memberships will be cancelled. Fill in the Membership Renewal / Change Form (this will be emailed to members) and include it with your fees. Please pay by cheque if possible. Cheques must be post-dated for November 30, 2019 and handed in or mailed to; Port Moody Art Association 2425 St. John's Street, Port Moody BC V3H 2B2

Name Tags:
Please wear your name tag to all meetings, guest artist nights, workshops and art shows.

Reminder:
All new members must complete an application form from our website, bring it with them when they attend one meeting (not the AGM) before new member intake dates – first Business Mtg. in January and again in April. Anyone interested in joining the club must live in the Tri City area – School District #43 boundaries.

Sales Commission:
PMAA commission rate is 15%. Artists receive 85% of each painting’s sale price, before tax. Please price your paintings accordingly. There is PST of 7% added to each painting. There is no GST on our sales at this time. Be sure to check the Criteria for Presentation of Art Work and the Framing and Hanging Guidelines before you begin painting and having your Art Cards reproduced. December 12nd is our Annual Christmas Wind-up, come on out and enjoy an evening of socializing with fellow members. Associate Members are eligible to attend. Spouses and partners of members are also welcome.

Regarding Notices of Motion (NOM): A: General Rules 12 Amendments to Constitution, Bylaws and Rules may be brought forward at any business meeting, in writing, as a ‘Notice of Motion’. A written notice must also be made available to members, by newsletter, e-mail, mail, or in person, at least 30 days prior to voting. The Notice of Motion concerning a Bylaw / Rule amendment, change or addition may be ratified at the first business meeting in October or at the AGM (Annual General Meeting). Any change would need to be filed by the Board Secretary with BC Registries.
